Let There Be Drums completed it’s first event on September 19th and 20th in St. Paul, Minnesota. It was a sonic boom of love, camaraderie, and compassion that everyone in attendance and participating would attest to.
Led by The World’s Most Recorded Drummer Bernard Purdie, and joined by other spectacular drummers on a 100 ft stage including Jimmy Paxson, Jay Williams, Charlie Adams, Mike Arturi, Sandy Gennaro, Billy Thommes and more, (go to FEATURED DRUMMERS for a complete list and links to all the drummers on our man stage in 2017), what transpired between the 47-piece band and the over 100 drummers performing with them on Harriet Island was nothing short of unforgettable .
All proceeds from Let There Be Drums benefited The 30-Days Foundation. The 30-Days Foundation was founded in November 2010 by Twin Cities Musician and Singer-Songwriter, and charitable event producer and creator Mick Sterling.
The 30-Days Foundation celebrates the simple act of kindness by providing one-time financial grants for Minnesota families and individuals in real-life financial crises. All donations are only provided to the service provider in need of payment, not the person requesting assistance.
